The performance of the piece ‘Moving with the Wind’ was presented on Saturday the 24th of May inside the Turner Contemporary gallery in Margate, Kent. Music, dance and textures combined interpreting the Dutch painter Piet Mondrians journey from representation to abstraction. It was a wonderful day with an engaging audience and great feedback! Video of the performance will soon be available and viewable on our blog.

Finally to the Build Your Worlds Collective!
Part of the ‘Moving with the Wind’ project is to involve various communities around London in the making of both costumes, soundscapes and sculptors to be exhibited on the 24th of May in Margate beach. The integration of school children in the creative process is an exciting and unexpected journey providing much inspiration for the Build Your Worlds Collective. As the Build Your World collective is approaching the exhibition date 24th of May 2014, costume designer Anna Cocciadiferro is experimenting with the first textile ideas for the dance performance in the lovely surroundings of Margate beach in Kent. Dancers Emelie Wangstedt and Elisa Vassena are part of the textile pieces development, and their curious movements feed into the creative process for. An important aspect of this live art performance piece is to utilise the surroundings to the fullest by adapting the art work accordingly. The sand, the wind, the water and the shifting temperature are all challenges explored in this project, naturally titled ‘Moving with the wind’.
